Just know that God knows your heart and sincerity. The Bible informs us that we’ve all sinned and we, on our own, can’t do enough good things to make us right with God. We need Jesus to make us right with God. Jesus was the sacrifice for our sins. Again, if you’ve never prayed before, you can use the prayer below to follow word for word or as a template. Just speak to God from your heart.
God, I confess that I’m a sinner and I need you in my life. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe by doing so I am made right with you. Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I now commit myself to you for the rest of my life. I will follow Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to guide, change, convict, encourage and challenge me so that I can be the person you want me to be. I am yours. Amen.
